TBILISI- On November 19, The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia held a digital marketing international conference. The conference, an initiative of the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA), was hosted by the Public Library.

The main topic of the conference was tourism, with presentations which touched upon the latest trends and challenges in the tourism sector, as well as on the importance of digital marketing. The conference was attended by representatives of Google, National Geographic and Impact Hub Vienna.

It is the first time that a digital Marketing International conference has been organized in Georgia and is to become an annual event.

Giorgi Chogovadze, GNTA Head, highlighted the importance of the conference to representatives of private sector.

“Each year the internet is becoming a more and more important channel for communication. The GNTA uses digital marketing very successfully in order to promote the tourism potential of our country abroad. This international conference is another step forwards in that direction. Representatives of the private sector have a chance to learn about digital marketing trends, communication channels, and ways to improve their communication strategies. This will help them to communicate better with potential tourists and other target audiences,” says Chogovadze.
